tools. Red Colerase pencils, .5mm mechanical pencils, 6x8" WACOM Intuos 3 tablet, Photoshop7, Open Canvas, occasionally Painter Classic and FlashMX, and caffiene.

Trade. Unfortunately I didn't take art in grade school beacuse 1) I didn't want to be an artist because I "didn't want to be poor, duh" and 2) choir and tennis took up my extracurriculars. But I had been drawing since before I could remember and still drew in my freetime. I facied myself pretty good at drawing, then I found the internet in high school and discovered I kinna really sucked. BUT I also discovered that you could actually be an artist and have a decent career, so, as I was not sure what I wanted to do anyway (I had wanted to be a marine biologist, but later decided that that required too much science and not enough playing with dolphins), I decided to start really practicing on improving. I "studied" by just binging on art sites and when I started college I finally took some life drawing which of course did worlds for me. The other thing that's helped me improve is Harry Potter, just for the fact that I wanted to draw so much of it, and tried harder to actually get the image in my head onto paper. So.. practice, reasearch, and drawing from life is really the only advice I know to give anyone who wants drawing tips, heh.

HP. I had seriously, always despised reading before I read Harry Potter, and I wasn't a huge fantasy fan. Now I just sort of dislike reading and fantasy is alright. BUT still yeah Harry Potter rules. I used to make fun of my friends and brother for liking it, and now I'm a bigger fan then all of them combined. Kharrrmaaa D:. So thanks, JKR, for getting me to draw obsessively, periodically love reading, and get over the fear of getting geeky about something x).
